Time
management is very much important in whatever field you may be, whether it may
be in your day to day life or in work place managing time keeps you focused,
organized and relaxed. The main aim of managing time is to achieve life style
balance else you will feel stressed and irritated all the time. Time management
requires you to plan and adhere to the plan.
Time is precious, so stop complaining that you don’t have
time rather utilize the time you have. Here are few tips for effective time
management:
Ø Set some
goals to complete for that day whether they may be small or big just set
some and start fulfilling those. Setting goals helps you to be planned and
organized, which eventually helps you to save time.
Ø
Spend
some time for planning and organizing things. Plan and schedule things
before hand because, when you start working for next day these will come handy.
Plan before night or early morning, so that you will have schedule prepared
before you start to work.
Ø
Make your
schedule in such a way that even if there are some unexpected and important
tasks assigned you should be able to handle both of them without getting vexed.
Ø
Find your
productive time. Are you a morning person or a night owl? You’ll be more
productive if you work when you are at best.
Ø
Prioritize
things, based on priority categorize them like: important and urgent,
Important only, urgent but not important etc and try to finish them the same
way.
Ø
Take
breaks in between the tasks; they help you to be more focused and
motivated.
Ø
Learn to
say “No”, to your friends or colleagues if you have more important tasks
than those because you might not have resources or time to complete all the
tasks. So, better not to say yes to everything and get stressed.
Ø
Avoid
distractions, make a list of things which distract you and try to keep the
away from you while working .If you are distracted by text messages or
notifications from social networking sites try keeping your mobile away and
concentrate on scheduled work.

Reward
yourself, if you complete some task reward yourself with extra break or a
small nap this way you can increase your focus and motivation.
Ø
Start and
end your day at a fixed time, this will help you manage your tasks as per
the scheduled time table.
Time management is a skill which needs time
and practice. If you practice these few tips you can easily inculcate this skill, which will make
you organized and relaxed.
